Old National Bank Capitol Square I Madison, Wisconsin

Located on the Capital Square with picturesque views of the State Capital, the newly renovated space is a vibrant addition to downtown.  The original space was outdated and twice as large as necessary. By creating a more thoughtful program based on how banks are used today, the bank retail space was given an open concept, flanked by teller stations and anchored by an incredible storefront view of the Capital.  Color-wash LEDS line the ceilings of the open lobby and peek out of a drop down ceiling cloud adding visual interest for customers and livens the stagnant feel of a traditional bank.  Stand up teller desks create a more personal, one-on-one interaction with customers and offer a healthier alternative for employees.

A Concierge Pod at the entrance acts as a liaison between the retail bank and the customer, as well as a gate keeper for foot traffic from the busy street outside.  Once the retail space closes for the evening, an interior space separate from the retail bank holds an Intelligent Teller Machine and Night Depositary providing a convenient, secure service for customers.

The second level houses office space for local corporate employees and conference rooms for commercial and private banking clients.  The conference rooms all have floor-to-ceiling glass windows maximize the direct views of the Capital.  The outdoor patio off the breakroom and open office areas allow employees to take advantage of the beautiful view while getting fresh air or dining alfresco in the summer.

This project not only solidifies the dedication of Old National Bank to the new community, but also provides an updated, visually appealing streetscape for the Square.
