Pierce County Jail / Sheriff’s Department Study I Ellsworth, Wisconsin
Pierce County selected Potter Lawson to conduct a study to identify requirements and costs associated with the construction of a new sheriff’s department and 50-bed county jail. Potter Lawson worked with the Ad Hoc Committee, County Administration, Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and engaged members of the public during the study. The study specifically concentrated on obtaining an estimate of potential costs related to new construction, and the analysis of six potential sites identified by the County. In addition, Potter Lawson prepared an opinion of potential costs for remodeling the existing Sheriff’s Department and Jail.
