Columbia County HHS & Administrative Office Building I Portage, Wisconsin

Following the completion of a master plan, Potter Lawson designed two new facilities for Columbia County. The Administration Building is 69,000 square feet and houses the County Board Room, and 17 County departments.

The Health and Human Service building is 46,000 square feet. This two-story facility houses the Public Health department, the Aging and Disability Resource Center and Social Services.

Both buildings flank the historic canal that runs through downtown Portage and are connected via an enclosed walkway. Designed to compliment the surrounding architecture with a nod to the historic past, these facilities are a welcome addition and upgrade to the County’s facilities.
