National Conference of Bar Examiners I Madison, Wisconsin

The National Conference of Bar Examiners was formed in 1931 as a not-for-profit corporation. Their mission is to work with other institutions to develop, maintain, and apply reasonable and uniform standards of education and character for eligibility for admission to the practice of law.

The four-story, 45,000 square foot building includes underground parking for 98 vehicles. Amenities include conference and training rooms, a workout facility with locker rooms, and a staff break room. To add green space to the downtown location, we incorporated a green roof patio directly off the break room, allowing staff to connect to, and relax in, the outdoor environment, just two blocks from Lake Monona.

Along with the green roof, other sustainable elements include carpet and rubber flooring made from recycled materials, and strategically placed windows to maximize the amount of daylight, therefore easing dependency on electrical lighting.
