Sugar Creek Commons is a multi-phase mixed use development project on an underutilized site in Verona, Wisconsin that includes a hotel and 3 apartment buildings with ground floor retail. The project brings a traditional pedestrian oriented retail street streetscape with living units above to a growing city that does not have a traditional dense downtown district.
The first phase of this development includes two four-story buildings that house commercial retail space on the first floor. With a total of 143 units in a mix of one and two bedroom units, the development also includes underground parking. To achieve a vibrant pedestrian atmosphere the overall building material palette includes authentic, durable, human-scale materials with design elements that minimize the building’s mass and scale.
